Executive Summary

Founded in 1992, Genesis Land Development Corp, was founded by Mr. Gobi Singh and Mr. Arthur Wong, both professional engineers (P. Eng) registered in Alberta. Over the past 15 years, Genesis has grown from an astute land acquisition company to one of Calgary's largest and premier community developers. Since it first began development of its first major Calgary area community (Canals Phase 1) in 1997, Genesis has expanded to five major Calgary area community developments, and is a publicly listed company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (GDC-TSX).

Our History

Genesis Land Development Corp. has grown since 1992 from a start up company with two employees to a major community developer, home builder, and commercial developer with more than 70 employees and a major owner of real estate development assets in the Calgary Metropolitan area. How did Genesis grow so quickly to become a major force in the Calgary real estate and development industries? There is no single answer to that question. The answer lie in a number of areas that include the entrepreneurial drive of the company led by the vision of its owners, skill and knowledge, careful planning, research, and timing, and assembling a key team of directors, engineers, planners, legal, financial and marketing personnel.
